The 90th meeting of the Executive Committee of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) was held in Kuwait. The event focused on the organization's activity plans for the near future and preparations for upcoming major multi-sport events. Representing Uzbekistan were OCA Vice President and First Deputy Chairman of the National Olympic Committee, Otabek Umarov, Secretary General Oybek Kasimov, and Chairman of the National Judo Federation, Azizhon Kamilov.
The agenda included a discussion on the latest updates regarding preparations for the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games. Key officials presented their reports and presentations on their respective areas. Additionally, during the meeting, the permanent commissions of the OCA provided a detailed report on their activities. Furthermore, an agreement was signed between the Olympic Council of Asia and the government of Kuwait regarding the autonomy of the OCA headquarters in the country.
During the working visit, the Uzbek delegation held meetings with Kuwaiti officials and high-ranking representatives of the Olympic family, as well as with the OCA leadership. The discussions focused on further strengthening friendly relations and cooperation between the organizations.
