On December 19, a meeting of the newly formed Public Council under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs took place. This event marks a significant step towards strengthening open dialogue with society, ensuring transparency, and establishing close cooperation with the public.
Ensuring a continuous, effective, and open dialogue between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and society, studying public opinion, and implementing it in practice is one of the most important tasks. Members of the Public Council will be reliable partners in this process.
The Council includes experienced experts with extensive backgrounds in various fields, government officials, scholars, leaders of major media outlets, non-governmental organizations, and think tanks of the republic.
During the meeting, participants were thoroughly informed about the activities of the republic's foreign policy agency over the past period, as well as the main objectives for the upcoming year.
It was emphasized that today Uzbekistan, under the leadership of the Head of State, pursues an open, pragmatic, and active foreign policy, increasingly strengthening its role on the international stage.
Economic diplomacy, attracting investments and advanced technologies to the country's economy, and creating the most favorable conditions for domestic enterprises to access the international market are priority areas for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
A lively discussion also took place, with practical initiatives and proposals put forward. As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached to develop an Action Plan for the Public Council under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for 2025.
