A law signed by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan (ZRU-1009, December 4, 2024) introduces amendments and changes to the Criminal Procedure Code.
The law adds a chapter to the code that provides for the recognition of a court ruling from a foreign state and its execution, as well as the acceptance and transfer of convicted individuals sentenced to imprisonment for further serving of their sentence, including those who have undergone compulsory medical measures.
It also establishes the grounds for the acceptance and transfer of convicts and individuals subjected to compulsory medical measures, as well as the procedural status of participants in the judicial process.
The law comes into effect on the day of its official publication.
