Messages are circulating on social media regarding the introduction of a so-called "spiritual expertise" for media products. Upon investigating this matter, the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan found that the document establishes mandatory legal norms that affect the rights and legitimate interests of individuals and legal entities.
According to current legislation, such legal acts from ministries and agencies must undergo state registration with the Ministry of Justice.
Acts that have not undergone state registration cannot serve as a basis for the legal regulation of the relevant social relations and do not entail legal consequences.
In this regard, it is reported that the decision to introduce "spiritual expertise" for media products has been revoked by the authorities that issued this document.
Additionally, specialists from the Center for Spirituality and Enlightenment were advised on the feasibility of submitting analytical proposals to the authorized bodies to eliminate media products disseminated through various sources, should their content contradict current legislation.
