The Senate Council has approved a resolution to convene the next plenary session of the upper chamber of parliament.
Today, on December 17, another meeting of the Senate's Kengash of the Oliy Majlis took place. The meeting was chaired by Senate Chairperson Tanzila Narbaeva. A resolution was adopted to convene the second plenary session of the Senate on December 18, 2024.
It was noted that during the plenary session, which will be conducted using a video conferencing system, a number of issues are set to be discussed.
Among them are the laws "On the State Budget of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2025," "On Amendments and Additions to Certain Legislative Acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Connection with the Adoption of the Main Directions of Tax and Budget Policy for 2025," and "On Amendments to the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan 'On the State Budget of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2024'."
During the session, senators will also consider the laws "On Amendments and Additions to the Tax Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan," "On Space Activities," and "On Amendments and Additions to Certain Legislative Acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Connection with the Further Development of the Mortgage Lending Market."
Additionally, the agenda for the plenary session includes the laws "On Amendments and Additions to Certain Legislative Acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Connection with the Further Improvement of the Legal Foundations of Corporate Relations," "On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Connection with the Improvement of the Earthquake Safety Assurance System," "On Amendments to Article 135 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Connection with the Toughening of Penalties for Human Trafficking Crimes," and "On Amendments and Additions to the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan 'On State Duties'."
Furthermore, the agenda for the plenary session also includes discussions on laws pertaining to amendments and additions to certain legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Alongside this, the senators will also review the approval of several resolutions from the Kengash of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis.
