Olga Lyubimova noted that regular meetings within the Subcommittee allow for summarizing the collaborative efforts and discussing future plans. She reminded that the previous meeting took place on May 22, 2023, in Tashkent.
Ozodbek Nazarbekov, in turn, emphasized the importance of cultural and humanitarian cooperation in strengthening bilateral relations between Uzbekistan and Russia.
Particular attention at the meeting was given to joint projects in the field of cinematography and issues related to the preservation of cultural heritage. The Director of the Uzbekistan Cinematography Agency, Shukhratulla Rizaev, presented initiatives currently being developed with Russian partners.
The co-chairs of the Subcommittee highlighted that performing arts remain one of the key areas of Russian-Uzbek cultural cooperation. A vivid example of this is the large-scale Days of Culture of Uzbekistan in Russia, which will kick off on November 19 with the concert "Evening of Stars of Uzbekistan" at the State Kremlin Palace.
Olga Lyubimova also announced that in 2025, reciprocal Days of Culture of Russia will be held in Uzbekistan.
As a result of the meeting, the parties signed a joint protocol, outlining the main areas of cooperation for the upcoming year.
