The price of propane on the commodity raw materials exchange (UzRTSB) has risen by over 5% in just two days, according to data from the trading platform reviewed by Spot.
In the first two trading days of this week, the cost of liquefied gas increased by 5.4%, exceeding 6.9 million sums per ton. The volume of propane sales slightly increased, totaling 1105 tons.
Since the beginning of December, propane has decreased in price by more than 10%, and over the last 1.5 months, it has dropped by 32.2%. On November 5, the price of a ton of liquefied gas exceeded 10.1 million sums, surpassing that of AI-80 gasoline. Following this, the Competition Committee set a price growth limit (spread) of 20% from the initial seller's price.
The price of a ton of AI-80 gasoline has not changed significantly — 9.2 million sums — remaining close to the price ceiling established by the Competition Committee since November 13. During yesterday's trading, the volume of fuel sales fell below 6,000 tons. Last week, gasoline sales set a record, exceeding 8.11 thousand tons — which is 3.76 times more than what was sold on December 5.
Moreover, AI-92 gasoline, which has been listed on the exchange by "Uzbekneftegaz" since the end of October, has seen a significant price drop. Over two days, the fuel price fell by more than 2.1% — to 12.29 million sums per ton.
Against the backdrop of temporary restrictions on the operation of gas filling stations (AGNS), the Ministry of Energy and "Uzbekneftegaz" promised to significantly increase the supply of AI-80 and AI-92 gasoline on the exchange.
Earlier, Spot reported that "Uzenergoinspektsiya" had limited the participation of several filling stations in exchange trading.
