In the first ten months of this year, over 6,500 citizens received payments under the "Sunny House" program, as reported by the press service of the Tax Committee.
This program, which began in April 2023, provides subsidies for electricity fed into the general power grid, generated by solar panels installed in residential homes.
The total amount of payments under the program reached 10.56 billion sums, with 5.75 billion sums disbursed during the period from August to October. At a rate of 1,000 sums per kilowatt-hour, this indicates that participants produced 10.56 million kWh.
Leading in the total amount of payments is the Khorezm region with 2.4 billion sums. Following are Karakalpakstan with 1.7 billion sums and Tashkent with 1.4 billion sums.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced the introduction of subsidies for households installing solar panels last February. Funds are transferred via the Soliq application to the owner's bank card by the 25th of the month following the reporting period.
In August, the president instructed to exempt components for solar panels from import duties and VAT. This measure aims to create a more level playing field between local manufacturers and importers.
Previously, Spot reported that the import of certain solar panels is expected to be restricted starting in 2025.
