The funding amount for the "Initiative Budget" will be doubled.

In Uzbekistan, it is planned to allocate 2 trillion sums for the "Initiative Budget" in 2023. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Finance.

In the first quarter, 1 trillion sums will be allocated for these purposes, and by the beginning of 2023, 30% of the remaining unallocated funds formed in local budgets will be directed by local self-government bodies to the Civil Initiative Fund.

A total of 1.7 trillion sums will be formed in the Civil Initiative Funds during the first season, and these funds will be distributed to the funds before the voting process begins.

In 2023, a total of 8 trillion sums will be allocated from the budget to finance proposals submitted by the population. Of this:

• 2 trillion sums are allocated for the "Initiative Budget" processes in district and city budgets;
  
  
• 320 billion sums are planned within the "My Road" project in district and city budgets;
  
  
• 4 trillion sums will be allocated for the formation of the "Prosperous Village" and "Prosperous Mahalla" programs based on public opinion.

It is worth noting that last year, 1.07 trillion sums were spent on implementing citizens' initiatives.
